INEC Set to postpone Tomorrow's Election

The independent National Election Commission (INEC) may postpone the much awaited February 16th Presidential and National assembly elections set to hold across various polling units across the country over claims that that sensitive materials needed for the election are yet to be distributed to some states in the federation.

It would be recalled that recently, INEC offices were burnt in some states in the south east along with materials such as ballots and card readers needed for the scheduled election.

The INEC Chairman, Professor Manhood Yakubu and other senior officials of the commission as well as other relevant agencies crucial to the conduct of the election are currently in an emergency.

Much details about the new date to be announced shortly...
